What is the best octane for a 66 289?

Is it a stock engine? If so 87 is probaly fine, if the compression has been rasied then run 89 or 93.

there was a hi-po 289 that had a higher compression which you may want to try a higher octane with, however if it is the base 289...as most were then 87 should be fine.
