first mod
oh i still got the stock gt wheels on it, i do believe they're 16's. i just know that from reading other things over the internet, i haven't even looked lol. so what do you mean by "effective gear ratio" ?

Your running 17 inch wheels too arent you? That kinda reduces your effective gear ratio. But yea DON'T FEAR THE GEAR... lolz. Its all about preference, hey when you gettin stickier tires man? Them 108 mph trap times scream MORE GRIP

That run was a fluke, but seemed to be my best
I trap speeds of 111MPH 8D!
I shifted into fifth that run, shouldnt of.
I know I coulda gotten a lower time
im just worried about spinnin out of the hole, cuz, i def plan on doing more mods later down the road and i mean BIG mods when i get out of school. i kno i kno, control arms and subframe connectors, but, will those 2 help me out that much ?? or will i have to baby it out and then floor it and still worry about breakin 'em loose ?
You can always break loose the tires on the street because the street just ain't got any traction like a dragstrip does, so yes you will have to slip the clutch some and get rolling first before you go full out on the throttle, but that's just life with a high performance car. You can do a fortune in mods trying to improve traction from a standing start but you just arent' going to get but so much traction on the streets, even with wider drag radials, etc. Going back to your original questions, I would recommend you improve the exhaust system first with some headers and a good 2-1/2" cat back exhaust. This will give you a lot of bang for the buck and improve the driveability all around. Then go for a larger throttle body and spacer to improve the intake side breathing ability. These mods followed by some new rear gears will give you a very driveable combination with plenty of get up and go when you need it without killing your gas mileage on the highway.
i was lookin at MAC long tubes with a "hi-flo" x/h pipe(cant decide) and i cant decide what kind of "cat back" to go with. i like Flowmaster. but everybody dynomax and magnaflow offer better numbers. i planned on buyin a 65mm tb REAL SOON. that, pulleys, shifter and gears. so, hopefully if everything goes right, ill get my wish.
