Paint Colors that won't show Swirls...
I have a black mustang now, and the paint looks horrendous if it isn't waxed.
It has several swirl marks, especially on the passenger side.
Are there any colors that wont show swirls? I was thinking maybe white wont..
Or any ways to prevent paintswirls?

Yeah white is probably the best color to show swirl marks the least. You get'em when your washing/drying the car,, use a clean cloth when washing it & never go through those carwashes that have the spinning wash rollers.

White and yellow are good, but even those colors will show swirl marks that you can see at certain angles. My 2003 Cobra was Dark Shadow Gray and it seemed to be an ideal paint color for hiding swirls. Maybe because of the metal flake in the paint. So I am going to say that a paint that has some metal flakes (pretty much any metallic paint) should hide swirls pretty well.

Lighter colors wll hide paint flaws better than darker ones. It has to do with how much reflection you see in a particular color. Colors like silver, white, yellow, and some blues tend to hide well. If you are getiing swirls in your black car, I suspect that you are washing it and/or drying it wrong. You will need to have the swirls removed by a proffesional (waxing just covers them up and then you need to learn to care for the color the right way.

So far white (like mine) hides it the least my dad has a 2002 dodge ram thats black and looks like crap if its not all waxed and what not, but I can just wash mine real quick and it doesnt look bad at all.

If you have a good buffer (ie: one that has adjustable speed) and are good with it you can buff the swirls out. Stay away from automatic car washes. They are notorious for leaving swirls. Every car that I have repaired and painted I tell the owner to wash with a soft cotton wash mit and dry with a chamois like an Absorber. No powerwashers either. Every color will show swirls eventually.
