im trying to get free horsepower out of my almost stock 86 GT. i know of one easy way by removing the restriction plate that leads to my air box but anything else that would be worth my while?

 

Set your ignition timing at 14-15* and run premium fuel, weight reduction, and thats pretty much it.

 

You could also port your throttle body and spacer!
It's worth a little.

if your talkin about track use only unplug the alt., will free up atleast 5-15 ponies.

 

Well, personally: I just took the restrictor plate off the red dragon to give 'er a little more juice, but let's keep that on the down low...It's not exactly street legal.

learn something from the ricers and cutout the side of your airbox facing away fro the engine. that will help alot.

completely cut out one whole side of the airbox, **** do two sides. i did it in my supra and it worked great. then it got totaled.
