fried wires?

i was stoned and was switching out batteries from my other car and got the wires switched up for about 2 seconds and the thing that the red wire goes to started to smoke. what the hell did i just do, and now my cd player wont work, everything else does

more than likely a fuse have you checked? your car runs fine? thats a good way to fry your computer and what type of vehicle is it

its a 90 convertible. Its having problems running, im about to get the engine rebuilt. if i fried the computer will all the other things still work?
