How important is a launch...ask a Navy pilot...and then compare that to what you do...basically the same, you either win (take off), or lose (end up in the drink).

Turn TC OFF when racing. I'd take it to 5800rpm, my buddies pulled there no problem. It might not be optimal tho...

The launch is everything in most races and you just need to practice to find your sweet spot. I have street tires and slip my clutch at about 2000 rpms. W/ DRs on, I can go higher than that.
