I have no Idea if this is common, but. . . .

My dome light sometimes will stay on when I am driving I check all the doors, and everything. Then I'll take the light out. A few days later same thing happens.

Any guesses/solutions?

 

When my dome ligtht stays on I trace it to the
rear hatch switch.
After killing my battery a few times
I disconnected the switch.
No more problems.

 

It'd be good to let us know what you're driving... But, it sounds like you have a switch with a bad contact. Have fun searching.
