my moms 99 toyota avalon makes a hard cluck noise a lot of the time when she goes over bumps. it sounds like its comein from the front right side. my guess is its a strut. they have never been replaced and the cars got over 100k miles on it. any ideas?

 

check the control arm bushings...my dads explorer had the same problem and it ended up his driver side control arm bushing was just destroyed

 

alright, ill take a look tonight if i have time.

 

Check the tires too, if the struts are worn out, the tires will be cupped.
