Default Exhaust Install Help

I just got a new h-pipe and mufflers but need to know where to put them. I know that I'm going to have to weld hangers on, but can anyone show me a picture of where to do it. I went to school for welding, so I have the means and the knowledge to do it myself. The exhaust was a gift given to me so I'm not paying for it...but places are ripping my friend off so much that I dont want her to pay for it. So are there any pictures or how-to's on how to put the exhaust on an 84?

If it's built for that year Stang, I would assume the stock hangers would work.

If not, I have hangers just before the axle and at the tips under the bumper. Just find some solid metal above the pipes to weld to. You don't need anything up front near the tranny/engine as the headers will take care of that load.

Well usually the parts say from 79-93...and didn't the later foxes come with duals stock? Because my 84 is only a single piple, so that is why I was wondering if I needed to weld.

Yep, the newer ones do have duals. I forgot the older 5.0's had singles. You'll need to duplicate the hangers on the side that didn't have anything. The car is pretty much symmetrical, so the hardpoints will be there. You'll also need a double hump tranny crossmember, like this.
