Default Power Window Issues

My drivers side power window (2K3 V-6) just quit working. Passenger side works fine (so its' probably not a fuse). Any ideas on where to begin (i.e. is there any way to test the switch vs,. the motor itself).

If it comes to replacing the motor, where exactly is it located in the window assembly...what part of the door covering do I need to remove to get to it.

Thanks for helping this noobie...

Fuse was first thought...pulled it out, it looks OK. Plus, the passenger side works fine and it's on the same fuse. I hear a clicking noise when I press the button...

If you are hearing a clicking sound, it may be the power window motor, or the window itself may be off track. Try checking the window switch too. That can be easily removed and swapped. The clicking tells me that at least the signal is getting to the motor. The only way to know for sure is to take a peek inside the door. I recommend taking it in to the shop unless you are handy and knowledgable with such things.

I had my driver side window on my '02 vert just stop working once. I left it overnight and the next day, it was fine, and has been ever since. Have no idea what was going on with it. Anybody else ever have that problem?

I've had the driver side rear quarter window do exactly the same thing a couple times on me now. One day I'd go to lower the top but the window wouldn't go down, so I give up on it. The next day I try the button & it works fine lol, dunno what is the cause?? There's no CLICK noise or anything like that, and all the other windows work fine.

GreyStang,
My other stang (the one with the window issues) is a 2002 V6 vert with the black top, mineral gray exterior and parchment interior. It does not get much drive time since I got the Mach 1, though.

I wonder if it is something specific to the verts, or a particular year? My rear driverside window did stop working once and they replaced the motor under warranty.
