I have an 06 GT with a saleen supercharger and want to upgrade to 39# injectors. Will I have to have the program in the computer upgraded before I install them or will it not matter?

I dont mess with OEM computer, but I do aftermarket, and yes we program computer whenever we increase fuel or air flow. So yes, you will have to, otherwise you will run rich, and if you have cats you can burn them.

If you computer uses WBO2, and I know it dont, and if you in closed loop mode, then you can get away. But for regular O2 and WBO2 with open loop modes, it must be reprogrammed.

Thanks, I'm glad I asked!! I'm going to be converting to the SCT progam from JDM Engineering next month and putting on their stage one kit without the supercharger since I already have it. I just figured I would save some time and $$$$ by doing it a little at a time. I hate Saleens programming for which you cannot do anything to it, It's like such a secret!![:@]

Im not using OEM or aftermarket commercial computers, period. Im open source these days, we have Megasquirt II system, which is an open source enine management system, you can build one yourself, and I use Megajolt, they are reliable controllers for Ford EDIS ignition modules.

By far, and especially if you doing it yourself, these are the cheapest and easiest mods for your Ford, especially late model mod motor Ford.

Heck, the whole FE and digital ignition system costs less than your average price of a chip for your EEC-V. Makes me very happy.

Some get separate ignition and injection computers, I have one, why, I dont know, I just do!
