Side Mirror Replacement - Need some Help
Alright so worst comes to worst I have a car with a missing passenger side mirror (the entire assembly got knocked off - plz dont ask me how).
Basically the part that screws in to the actual car is still there (so theres not a hole in the car where the mirror would have been) but it IS completely cracked. I can see that there is one screw at least in that sonofabitch.
Whats my best choice?
a) Try to crazy glue it back (it would connect like a intercet jigsaw puzzle) It definitely will mold to the shape perfectly, but the qustion is, will the glue hold something together like a mirror. The actual part of it that will be glued will be EXTREMELY thin and i could see it falling off if it doesnt dry properly. But at the same time i could see it possible.
b) Get a new side mirror from the wreckers.
Also does anyone know the process of removal and replacement of side mirrors on 94-98 model mustangs? BTW, I do have power mirrors if that matters or makes any difference in setup.

just get a new one, the power mirrors wouldnt work and you'd end up replacing it anyways...but removal and installation is not too hard...you need to remove the door trim, plastic cover and then retaining bolts
door skin
1)stick a flatheadscrew driver in the intention of the plastic piece surrounding the window switches near the top, then pull it off (bottom held in by a torque clip)
2) there are 2 screws behind this, philips head
3) there is one plastic push screw on the inside (towards the fender) of the panel, pull that out
4) best to lock the door when u pull the panel off, lift up and it'll come out
plastic piece
1) if u got a mach system, the speaker will come out too, but unscrew that and get the electrical connections off
Mirror
1) held in by 3 bolts, unbolt those and it should pop off
...not too hard, no more than an hour or two
id show u pics but...both my door panels and everything are off
