You would have to mod alot of different things fairly heavily. a 460 is a really heavy motor and has relatively low performance for its size. I think they are the worst motors Ford made, but don't let my opinion keep you from doin it. I'd be interested in seein a finished product.

If you want something that size, go with a 429 with pre 71 heads and cam, will be a lot better off. As far as it fitting, back in 94, ford did a boss 429 with out too many fittment problems, hell it looked right at home, but had to do a hell of a lot of suspension mods. As far as width itts not too bad, look how wide the damn 4v mod motor is. You would be custom fabricating quite a lot of stuff, and probably have to go with a hydro-boost brake system etc.

Easily. The chassis may have to be strengthen to handle the power, but it would work for a mild 460. The K-member would be the biggest stumbling block. But, a bit of engine mount fabrication for that and the tranny and you'll just need a big hood.

And, the 385 series big block will gladly run circles around just about every other Ford engine made. Yes, it's heavy, but it more than makes up for it with power.

I have done this conversion only once and right off the trailer the car went 10.7 you can find the change over stuff at summit or jegs parts also Mac Performance offers a set of headers for this application you would need to get a 94-95 tube k member, good luck and keep us up dated

514cid would work well. Maybe a blower to help it out a little bit...[sm=americanasmiley.gif]
