RE: 1986 chevy camaro
Ur lucky, Most chevy's only last for approx.1-10yrs b/c they are driven by retards who crash a lot and are built with a major problem. MOST GM carssuffer a problem called Isuckitus. The definition of Isuckitus is anymajor or minor hasslethat occursdue to their****ty built drivetrain's or engine's. From either too little distance from the engine and dashboard,or having pablo and hisfriends from Taco Bell take weekends off to handbuild some cars down at the Chevy/Dodge factory some problems occur in the production process. Usually burritosstuck in the manifold, stock blocks stuck directly to mufflers, orPedro's idea of more hpcoming from the engine if he put's it in thetrunk(not connecting it to anything)liketheGORMEN"S do with their PORCHES. I hope this could help you decide to sell your ClassicCamera to a junk yard for $20 and help build yoursavings for a nicenew Classic style Mustang GT or 4 liter!

RE: 1986 chevy camaro MUST READ RUNNING ISSUES!!
ALL READ THIS PLEASE! STARTING/RUNNING ISSUES [hr] we have a 1986 Chevy Camaro 4 bbl 305 V-8.
The car would run fine and start fine, sometimes it did not or was very hard to start with leaving the starter cranking and holding the gas pedal down!
Then its just would not run at all for quite some time.We had spark, but it was random as seen while cranking engine and plug wire to ground.
Fuel pressure, carburetor, ignition module, plugs, wires, cap , rotor button, ecm, EVERYTHING IGNITION replaced.
The issue now came upon an older mechanic to check the MAGNETIC PICKUP COIL!, IT PASSED RESISTANCE and WHEN TURNED , RESISTANCE FLUCTUATED AS NORMAL.
This is a deadly component, and very deceptful, component.
We replaced it and the car now runs normal as if 6 months of diagnonsis, and all this headache meant nothing!
If you have any distributor issue, starting, timing etc, remove the distributor, undo the retainer pin on rod with hammer and a nail, pull out rod, and remove phillips screw holding it in.! or better yet, REPLACE THE WHOLE DAM DISTRIBUTOR COIL PACK AND ALL!

RE: 1986 chevy camaro MUST READ RUNNING ISSUES!!
well now its lost spark totally after running good for 2 weeks, but getting all power and ground at the dizzy connectors, so, we are gonna just replace the dizzy, i noticed that three of the triangles, were slightly nicked withing the magnetic field, and alos was told
the radio noise dampner may be defective and cause a no start as well, or the magentic coil is gone out again,.[:'(]

I would sell the chevy to someone you dislike before anyone else finds out you park it in the same garage as your mustang. I don't have room to say much though, mines next to a 74 Nova SS...but I also don't show that picture to people..lol
