Default 1992 LX BLINKERS

My blinkers are going out onmy 1992 LXand I think I need to change the flasher. It's my understanding that there are two of them. One is in the fuse box, this one controls the hazard lights and is easy to get to. The other is for the blinkers and is somewhere behind the dash. I've looked and felt all around behind the dash and have no idea where it is. Is it even back there? And if so is it a small silver colored cylinder like the one for the hazard lights or is it a different type? If anyone could tell me more specifics about its location or appearance I would greatly appreciate it, or a trick to getting it out.

On my 89 it is attached to the post
of the steering column. You have
to reach under feel the cylindrical
flasher and detach it and pull wires
so you can disconnect. You will
never be able to put it back where
it was.
