Quick Question
Here is a picture of your tank... It has a fillerneck oring, and and oring for the sender and one for the pump hanger. Also there is a rubber grommet for the return line into the top if the tank. If not any of those, it could be rusted through from the inside or leaking at the welded seam.

Thanks for your information. I still have a few questions though.
I've searched many times both here, and at 3.8mustang.com for a longtime now about a common leak with mustangs (particularly sn95's) where the "grommet seal" deteriorates or whatever because it was made too flexible or something like that. I've heard from many people that all they did was get a new "grommet seal" and the problem was fixed.
Now I know that my tank is leaking from that filler neck. So today I went to the dealership and bought a "filler-neck grommet seal" obviously before reading this post. So i'm hoping this is all I need besides a new tank ($150cdn)
