Default Eibach Pro Kit or Sportline

I'm going to order some lowering springs for my car and was just wondering which would look and be better for my 98 Gt: Either the Eibach Pro Kit which drops it 1.5" all around or the Sportline which drops it 2.0" Front and 1.8" Rear.

you kinda answered your own question. 1) theyre both Eibach so theyre the same build quality. 2) how low do you wanna go ?? i mean, if you have aftermarket, larger wheels, id go w/ sportline's so itll lower you more. but, really, its just personal preference. do you have aftermarket shocks/struts or still factory ?? itll give you a lil bit of a rougher ride, but, not that bad.

So here is the scoop. You want to lower your car but aren't sure what spring. Eibach is a graet company for suspenion little pricey. The diference lies in the springs. The sportline is a more drastic drop and actually caries a differnt spring rate than the pro kit how else do you supose they get the extra .5" of drop out of the spring. I myself Have the pro kit and love the spring it does of course ride harder than OEM but makes for little better launches street light to street light. The drop is not very noticeable but the ride sure is and handling. Also you will want to buy the struts at or before you have or install the springs because it will cost less in labor. Struts are most commonly designed for a certain ride hieght and lowering your car throws off the geomtry.

Beware of 2.0' lowering, in some stangs the ebrake assembly rubs the driveshaft. That would = problems. Im sure there is a way to counter act that but im not sure how you would go about doing that.

Eibach Sportlines will lower the car 2' and the Prokit will lower about 1.5. It depends on low you want your car. To low will scrap the cat on
the speed bumps etc.

I happen to have a full set of Eibach Sportlines i had on my stang for 2 weeks then i removed because i use 315 tires on the rear and they hit. They have about 100 miles on them and they look brandnew. If you want them i'd sell for $ 75.00 if you want. message me if you want them ok. This is what my car looked like with them on
