Default Tire help

I am about to get new tires and i am looking at them, but i dont know what all the numbers represent. for example 225/45 ZR17 91W ok i know the ZR17 is the rime size and i think the 91W is the with but i dont know what the others are. can someone help me, this is my first set of tires to buy. also what is the best tire for the money. thanks

As far as spending money,you WILL get what you pay for.It depends what you want to use the tires for.Less expensive tires can get better traction than more expensive tires but they might lose their balance several times before they wear out.I've had this happen several times over the years.The Goodyear tires that were stock when my 04 was built lasted 35,000 miles but are expensive to replace and didn't do very good in the traction department.I replaced them with B.F.Goodrich G-Sport tires (not the KDW's [:'(]) and traction went up to the point where I now need better lower control arms to counter wheel hop.
Go to the Tire Rack website and do some research they have reviews and test results on all the different tires they sell.
