Default Headlight Problem

I have a 98 V6 Mustang. Been having a problem that is progressively getting worse. After the car has been running for atabout 15-20 minutes or more, the headlights (low beams) will just turn off. If I pull in on the dimmer lever for a few seconds (4-5) the low beams will come back on. Then a few minutes later, same thing happens again. Any suggestions/ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Gotta say I've never seen anything like that before. Sounds like either a bad switch or a short near that area.

You've got a short & you're tripping the thermal breaker.

Try pulling on of the headlight bulbs out & run with just the other side,, do this test during the day lol. Do the lights still die? you gotta narrow down the area of the short

THANX! Let's say I run the "remove one headlamp bulb" test on each side and I get the same result..... Any suggestions on what to try after that?
Sounds as though I have an interesting weekend ahead of me.
