Water may have pooled on the motor and got into the electronics of the car after start up the second time. Give it more time to evaporate and if that doesn't work try getting the fuel injectors/ fuel pump/ fuel filter changed or cleaned. Just go out and put a bottle of fuel injector cleaner in a new tank of gas. This maybe just a coincidence or water in the fuel system. Later J

I cleaned the 300ZX's engine with that foaming crap that you can spray off, I covered as much electrical as possible but some still seeped through.

It took about 1 week to make all the water evaporate, it will probably take you just as long, running the engine for a while to heat it up will help a lot.

Our problem was that some water got down next to the spark plugs and was causing an arc, among other things.

Best of luck.

it will def do that if u got water in the fuel system a little, i would add some fuel injection cleaner, maybe add some 93 octane and let the car rest for a little to see if the water evaporates if its on the electrical
