When you turn your wipers off do they stop instantly or go back to the rest postion , if that makes any sense. Do they ( the wiper blades ) go back to the normal resting postion?

Dagger, Sorry it took so long to get back to you . I travel for work so that happens. Anyway, there is a wiper delay govenor that is located just above the fuse box.
It sets in a little gray holder, and the wiring plugs into it. The govenor look like a cicuit card about 2inches square. When I figured out the problem I called a dealer to get a new one and they could not get one nor could I find an after market one. But if it is bad you should be able to tell visually. If you have any Q's let me know and hopefully I can answer them.

Good Luck!!

There is a good chance of that if you cannot tell any visible damage or bad solder joints , broken tabs off the plug etc... I personally noticed 2 tabs on the plug that were broken that just needed soldered. Did you look for the piece yet? When I called the dealer he said if they could have got it it would have been around $150. But you need to find it and look at it first. The part if found should not be all that expensive but finding the problem would have been very costly if in fact yours is the same as mine was.

ok well the thing is that sometimes when i am useing the wipers that they seem to work like i have them on the setting just before the high and they seem to just work for like 1 or 2 secs and then shut off....also sometimes when i am using them they seem like when i shut them off they go to the off position no matter where i turn them off...maybe its just me making it up in my head or something but thats whats going on i think...so a different chip would help....thanks
