Default squealing & hissing noises

There's two noises coming from my car

1. When I apply the brakes they squeal sometimes. I just recently had the breaks checked and got new break pads, they said the breaks were in good shape.

2. This just started today, when I accelerate I hear this sort of hissing/scraping noise.

What could these two noises be?

Remove yer wheels and whipe down the disks with brake cleaner. Make sure to get every mark because even finger print oil can cause squeek. Ive heard rumors of throwing it into reverse and hauling *** then slamming on the brakes. Wouldnt know though, never tried it.

Yer gonna have to find out where the hissing and scraping noise is. It could be bad if its coming from the rear. If its a whine, yer rear end maybe taking a dump

Sixstring....are you still getting the sqealing noise ...I know you wrote that the hissing/scraping went away.....but if you are still getting the squeal then do this....

Squealing brakes is actually a vibration coming from the rubbing of the pad against the rotor, it just sounds to us humans as a squeal.

To stop/dampen the vibration you can do either of two things

Go to your local parts shop...any discount one willdo and get either the "strips" that stick on the back of the pads or the "blue liquidy gel" which is the same thing only messier cause you have to spread it on like butter....both work fine. Takes me about 10 min.to do each side, I don't know how technical you are though.
