Will installing a cold air intake kit void the factory warranty? How about exhaust? If so, why?

Your warranty all depends on the dealership you deal with. Best thing to do is contact the shop manager and ask what do they frown on. I have a total offroad exhaust, underdrives, timing adjuster, cai, and a lot of other things and they are happy to do warranty work on mine. Usually if you mess with the internals, like put different cams in it, then they will void it out. All depends on the dealership though.

 

In other words YES. Because, Ford and their dealers are mostly morons.
