Default RE: Loss of hp & torque from flywheel to wheels

well the typical calculation is that its about a 15 percent loss of power for a stick tranny and about a 18 percent loss for an auto.
now the equation is simple and we shall work with a 5.0 since thats what u got, and it will be the stock numbers since i dont kno what u have done to ur car
u wanna take 225 flywheel multiply it by .85 since ur calculating in the loss for a stick tranny, if u have an auto put in 18 percent, and u get the answer of 191.25 which is about right for a bone stock 5.0.
