Help...I am clueless
1996 Ford Mustang, 6 Cylinder
Okay so a couple of days ago, my radiator hose went out in the parking lot of my school. I parked and have not moved it since. I replaced the hose and started it up to see if it was working when Anti-Freeze started spewing out from beneath where the hose plugs into the engine. That night I got a friend to come look at it with me....We started it up and reved it a bit and white smoke was coming out of the tailpipe, with lil droplets of what looked like water? Then he opened where the antifreeze goes and said he saw oil in there.....I checked it today and there is no oil in there. My oil on the dipstick isnt white or off white milky or anything. I just wanna know what the problem is and usually about how much parts are....and labor.....but mainly the parts.
Thanks,
Bo

Is it the upper rad hose? Maybe your thermostat housing (the spot the hose attaches to) is cracked or broken.. or you didn't clamp the hose down tight enough..
What happened to your original hose? Did it split in the middle or did it also break near the engine side?

You should not have smoke from the hose breakage, sounds like you have more serious problems. HMUSN was correct, if you have water in the oil or oil in your water, you may have blown gasket. Check everything over and make sure you dont have any more leaks. Was it smoking before you had the hose failure?
It is a good prabability that the hose broke due to engine compression in the cooling system. If there is oil in the radiator do not run it at all!! It is important that you may only need a head gasket now but you could really cause yourself some real problems.
