I have a 96 GT. I was under the car yesterday and noticed that I have 6 cats. 4 on the mid pip and 2 on the headers comming down. I was wondering if it was legal to run a mid pipe with no cats becuz I have the cat on my header? Thanks for all your imput guys?

If its illgeal, is there a big difference between a catted mid pip and a non-catted one?

 

Theirs no can on your header, all 6 are on your mid-pipe... and going to an aftermarket high flow pair of catted h-pipe or non-catted h-pipe will give you some really big hp & sound gains... if you don't have emissions testing where you live then I'd go cat-less

 

Yeah I agree with MD. They are all on your mid pipe, and going from 6 to 2 high flows, its going to be definite bad ***.

id get a catless h-pipe and then just put the stock pipe in for testing or get an illega smog......no cats sounds great
