?'s for my wrecked 96 gt
this past weekend some idiot "t-boned" me on the freeway. my whole passenger side is smashed in and it doesn't seem repairable. here's the ?'s:
1) ive found 94-98 stangs at the junkyard with their front end cut out(frame and all) would it be too much to cut my front end off and weld it to the junked car or cut the side frame out and weld it to my car.
2)if i find a v6, is it a hard swap?
3)if i find a 5.0, would i have to swap everything like i would a v6.
4)should i just part out my car completely and buy another stang

[ol][*]not worth it. JMO[*]Not hard at all if you are mechanically inclined. If your not a great time to learn doing the swap[*]Yes[*]I would go with this option. Sell everything on eBay[/ol]

Unless you personally know how to clip a car, I wouldn't do it. And, for a fairly common car, it just isn't worth it.
Selling the parts and using the money for a new Stang would be your best bet.

Best way to know is to cut off the sheet metal and see the structural damage, there are places that sell quarter pannels and if its that simple then having somone weld a new one on will be worth it.
Give us some pix so that we can understand a little more about the damage that you are working with.
If the subframe and rocker pannel are still intact then you should be ok, its just sheetmetal work from there.
