Default low 1980's or high 80's and low 90's engine compare

ok i was wondering which engine is better a mustang engine that is from lets say 1986 and so...a carb engine...or one of the newer engines...not only in horsepower but also in fuel econmy...please give me your info...i only ask because i mean carb engines are rather nice acually...i love the way they look...to me they look stronger and more aggresive...also i want to know if an older engine would fit in a 1993...thanks for your help people...also tell me which one you would pick

IMO, the better engine is the SEFI one from 87-92. can't beat fuel injection for ease of starting and power and fuel economy over a carburetor. and yes the older engines will fit in a '93 with the right K member and motor mounts.
