I have a 97 GT convertible and I am curious which exhaust systems have been installed on other members' convertibles. I want to upgrade mine but am not sure what to put on it because there are so many to choose from.

I have listened to clips on various websites but I am sure they are for coupes. It kinda gets confusing because after a while they start to sound the same. I don't want a system that is so loud that it'll drive me crazy from the inside of the car.

I have a V6 convertible. I put the Force II Flowmaster Catback system on it. It gives a nice sound at low RPMs, but can hardly be heard at all at highway speeds. I'm well pleased with it.

 

How did you go about picking your current exhaust system? Did you just listen to the exhaust clip or did you have first hand experience with someone else's vehicle?

 

I tried to listen to clips, but my old computer wouldn't handle it, so I just took a chance. I had several people recommend Flowmasters. I wasn't sure I would like the sound of a V6 with louder exhaust, but it sounds pretty good. I don't think the Force II exhaust would be much louder than stock GT exhaust. As I said, you can't tell any difference at highway speeds on the V6.
