I have an auto an i heard from some guys that i should get a torque converter....can someone breakdown why i should and what the benifits are...stuff like that, Thanx.[8D]

 

higher stall=better launches=better 60'=better 1320.

i like precision industries, Hughes is a decent converter if you dont want to spend alot

 

Think of it this way. When you stomp the gas your engine will rev to about 2200 rpm before the car starts moving. A higher stall torque converter will let your engine rev higher in the powerband before the car starts moving. You make considerably more power at 3000 rpm than 2200, so if you stalled up to 3k before you launched you would accelerate faster.
