My mustang has 60,000 miles on it and so far i have had no problems. However, this morning when driving it, i was going 30 mph in 2 gear, the engine just shut off. I didnt think much of it because it was the first time it happened. On the way home today, it did it again and now im starting to worry a little about it. Anyone know whats going on or had similar issues?

 

When it stopped did you hear the fuel pump running?

 

i couldnt hear because my car was still moving which creates sound. it started right up without hesitation.

 

try the idle air control valve on the top of themotor by the t-body..

 

Listen for the pump and see if is still running first.If your foot was on the throttle when it happened the disregard what the guy said about the IAC valve.
