Airbag Fault #12..Low Voltage
Ok so I just bought a '95 Gt and the airbag light has been flashing code 12(low voltage). I checked the fuse panel on beneith the drivers kick panel, found the 10amp fuse popped. I replaced fuse, popped once ignition was powered.
I checked how many amps where going through fuse 15 for it to keep popping, 25amp detected.
I removed the drivers air bag and fitted a 10amp fuse, fuse doesn't pop, no amps drawn.
I performed a resistance check on the clockspring via the connector to the airbag, when turning steering clockspring at times would become closed circuit.
I also performed a resistance check on the drivers air bag, constant closed circuit.
Now with the diagnostics of the clockspring and the drivers airbag, is it safe to say both are at fault for the fuse #15 10amp to pop??

RE: Airbag Fault #12..Low Voltage
Ok well I solved my own problem correctly, just keep in mind when i did a resistance check on the
drivers air bag..there was a resister in place not to blow the air bag.
Ne-waz i wasn't sure after my first post weither it was the drivers bag, the clockspring, or even both.
i picked up a airbag replacement tool, kinda acts like a dummy connector..make the srs module think
the airbag is still present yet it's not. i drove around like this all day with dummy connector fitted, fuse #15 10ampnever popped..nor was the amps drawn anywhere close to 10amps. I did notice a spike though from
the clockspring of 2amps..so to play it safe and not have this thing explode in my face, I'm gonna replace both the clockspring and the drivers airbag.
Hope this helps out anyone in the future......

Good work, you went alot further then most and in doing so have possibly kept you from getting into an accident when and if it blew.
My wife has her drivers side airbag off because she doesnt trust it, so its just not hooked up. She would rather get a cheast full of wheel then a face full of air.
Could you tell me where you got your airbag replacment tool?
