brand isn't all that important, platinum plugs if he just wants something that will last a long time - copper if he wants performance

personally Im a fan of NGK and Autolite

Dealer tried to tell me problems I was having with my '95 were do to non motorcraft spark plugs. turned out it was the MAF. Dealers are like that though and I've not been back to that one since. I've not had motorcraft plugs in it for many years. I've been using autolight or bosche platinums.

that dealer was full of ****....autolites are good no need for high dollars plugs as without extra juice from a msd or the like.

I agree, just another way for them to try to sell me a $200 tune up. What some people don't realize, alot of the original parts were made by bosche and dealers can capitalize on that. My wife was the one who dropped the car off and they called her and told her that about the plugs. She doesn't know much about cars and was all for them doing the tune up. I quickly told her hell no!! After that incident, I can easily see how they get alot of people to pay, they are simply uneducationed. Before us getting together ,she had her dad deal with that stuff.
