Default do i need a mechanical or an electrical tack for my stang?

i have a stock 2000 mustang gt besides exhaust and an intake and i was wanting to put an autometer tach in it and i need to know if i need to get electrical or mechanical, any help on t his would be appreciated

You can use either one, although an electrical one is easier to install.

...what's wrong with the tach you have in the dash now?
