Stupid problem with 2002 gt
I have this message coming from the dash Check fuel cap but my cap is ok and well locked....what could it be...plz help someone thanks !

Bad sensor maybe? Or maybe a short in a wire somewhere?

Maybe the cap is cracked?

Mine is on too but I think it's because of a leak somewhere in the evap lines. What sets that off? loss of pressure in the tank?

I had the same exact problem, i just fooled with it for a while, and it didnt go off, then all of a sudden one day it just went off.
