Control arm on drivers side moving
I made a post not too long ago about how I was having a loud popping noise everytime I hit my brakes. I finally figured out what it was by getting my girl to pump the brakes and let it move foward a bit while I looked. The control arm on the drivers side is moving back and forth at the point where the two bolts hold it to the sub frame. I had just taken the front suspension off to lower it and it started doing this after I got it all back together. I also replaced the ball joint on that control arm. I'mnot sure if that would have anything to do with it. I have taken the front apart before and replaced the ball jointsand the subframe before after a wreck and I never had this problem afterward. Any ideas as to what is wrong and how to get it fixed?
Do you think the bad bushings on the drivers side could be the reason my car pulls to the left even after being aligned? Thats been a problem ever since the first time I took the front apart and put that control arm on. It was a junkyard part and I replaced the ball joint on it but I didn't think about the bushings. Any idea how you get the old bushing out? I assume you have to press it out but is there a special tool or anything?
