Default Just Getting Started

Hey folks. I'm new to the scene and looking for a good starting point. I don't know any gearheads, and I feel rather overwhelmed trying to take in all of the info that i see here. I don't even know where/how to start. I'm not really interested in racing or anything like that, i just want to boost my stang's performance and make her prettier. Any advice on the subject would be most appreciated. Thanks for your time.

to me the best place to start is exhaust because it not only helps performance but it will make it sound better.
from there id do things like intake, gears, pulleys.

The first thing i did was put some borla exhaust and it sounds awesome and then a paint job, and took off the pony emblem in the front. Now im just waiting from my rims to come in.

Just make sure that when you decide on a plan you stick to it. Everyone in here has a different opinion but you're the one that knows what's important to you. Are you looking for straight line performance, handling, or just upgrading a daily driver? As far as engine performance goes I'd agree with changing the exhaust first, I have the Borla set up too and I love it but it's pretty quiet at idle through 2200 rpm. The other big thing you'll read a lot about is suspension. From what I've gathered changing out your control arms is a big step in the right direction. I just ordered the stage 1 and 2 kits from stangsuspension.com as well as the steeda lower c/a's. I'm going for a handling / road racing set up so gauge everything you read against how you want your car to perform.
