I have it on my 99GT, and i dont believe its standard either,
at least i was reading something and it said that it was 'an option well worth the money"
as far as how i like it, i have no complaints, ive driven in the rain with and without it turned on, if you want it on anyways, you shouldnt be driving hard enough to engage it,
however, i park my car in the winter, so i can imagine that is when its more useful anyways, but , like i said, im know it came around in '99, as for being standard on GT's, i dont believe it was.

I'm a fan of Traction control. Having been with out on my Tbird I love it. I live in Michigan where you cant always see the ice on the road. Plus I can drive through the rain as fast as I want and if I start to get sideways it will straighten me out.

I'm not sure if it's standard or not, but it's really helpful in bad weather...It's helped me a bunch at home in the snow...It limits your wheel spin but i find it burns a bit more fuel when it's activated..

99-04 it was standard on gt's and cobras..but either way..your gona pay for it..and yes it sucks because of the performance a man needs and the embarisment you get whenever you try to do a little burn out for the laddies and forget to shut it off... but it dose help from ending up sideways in the rain or snow..
