5.0 is easier to mod
4.6 Head swap and you're king of the road

Depends on how much money you have and how much of the work you can do yourself.
I would take the 5.0 because they are easier to work on and aftermarket parts are usually cheaper.

if those are the only years your considering I'd get the 95' 5.0... The 96-98 non PI GT motors were the sorriest ever.

I think the 94-95 5.0 has 225 hp...96-97 4.6 has 215 hp and the 98 has 225 hp. If I were you I would bet a 98 Cobra man....especially is you love the 94-98 body stlye. It would be the best car to start with and you could get one for pretty cheap.

You could also head swap a 5.0 GT. They do have the ultra-crappy E7's.... Ive had a 1996 4.6 and my wife has a 02GT. I wouldnt give up my 5.0 for either.

YEah the only problem with turning into a cobra man is if he is under 25 insurance is going to rape him. Being young sucks sometimes
