02 Mustang GT losing power
issue's been constant since I got the car. take it to the shop, they fix it. happens again a month later if that.
engine slighly sputters. and doesn't take off. I can floor it and it won't go any faster. dealership fixes it and only tells me its some type of plate on my muffler. I changed the fuel filter. issue still remains. it gets worse when I turn on the AC

I put cleaner in my tank before I changed the filter. changing it made no difference either.
I don't believe the dealership is really fixin it like they supposed to. they mention my exhaust sayin its not made for my car (flow masters) but then turn around and say they fixed the pressure plate

Nah...they're making an excuse because you have aftermarket parts on it. I've had the 40 series FMs on my car for over a year now and nothing like that ever happened...
See if you can get them to test the compression levels on your cylinders. I did have an experience a while back where my #5 exhaust valve was failing and I believe (its been 4 years) those were some of the symptoms. The compression test showed really low on that cylinder.

I'd take it to another shop.
If they are indeed fixing the problem and not just a symptom, they should tell you exactly what they did.It sounds to me like they are using you as a "cash cow".How much is this "repair" costing you each time?
The pressure plate is between the engine and transmission and has nothing to do with your exhaust.
If it's a lemon you might have some recourse. You did say the problem happened about once a month for a year. This would be a lemon law case if I ever heard of one.
If this isn't applicable in your case, get to a reputable shiop. It sounds to me like you are being taken for a ride by your current wrench spinners.

Thank you all for your advice. Thank you also chopper. Before you even posted I took the car to Team Ford in GA, since im vacationing in the area. Turns out you were right. so you might see something on the news. The car is definitely a lemon. Theres Massive problems with it all of which wasn't told to me at the point of sale and could not have been done by daily use. It's a lemon they tried to cover up. Thank you all. Wish me luck with the newly found law suite
