I have a 2002 v6 and the hood and decklid are doing this





Anyone else have this problem?? What may have caused it? Those are the only two places on the car the clear coat is comming off. the rest of the paint looks fine.

I suppose so, but why only the decklid and hood? Why not the roof , top of the wing, top of front fenders????

damn thats the worst ive seen on a new edge, time for some paint

 

Yeah i thought it was oddly bad myself, concidering i see SN95s running arround town with good paint. Not to mention i havnt seen an other new edges with the same problem.

 

it looks like its been repainted, maybe it got keyed before you bought it. Look underneath the hood along the inside edge, i bet you will see an paint line where they taped it off. If you can find out who painted it they might warantee their work and fix it for free.
