I have a V6 2003 Mustang with the factory 6 disc in-dash cd player. My cd player is on the fritz. It played to the end of one cd and went to switch over to the next one and it has apparently jammed. I have umm about 5 cds in that thing and can't get any of them out!! I can't load cds or eject the ones that are in there. If I try to do anything involving the cd player, it just says CD ERROR and won't let me do a dang thing.

Can anyone tell me in a very detailed way how to get my cds out of the cd player? Or if you have a link to where I can find this info, can you post that? I will love you forever and ever if you could do this for me!!! I can't stand listening to the radio anymore, it's driving me insane!

 

Power off then on usually works. I've only had this happen on burned CD's and never on store bought CD's. If one did try to eject, it may be stuck behind the door. Just push it in and it will reset.

 

are does that. The only way we do it is usually click either load or eject and it will try to...then we stick like a paper clip in there and pull it out. we eventually got them all out and now only 1 bay works...we cant switch to another section.

 

Dude, Mine stopped working... so I took it out.. and completely unhooked it... and whacked it and put it back in

wow, i have an 04 mustang with the stock radio. Mine did the same **** to me today! wierd! i was freaking out too, UM, theres a girl at my work who knows ALOT about electronics and she told me to get another cd, then attempt to put it in(obviously it wont go in fully because the CD in side is jammed) but then just wiggle the CD while its like 1/4 in there and hit eject, and it should work. Honestly, when my car was doing that today, I went in my car on break to try what she said, but as soon as I turned it on, i wanted to try 1 more time hitting eject...sure enough, the CD popped out....I was like very relieved...but yes...try that maybe?

 

very common problem and i have a very detailed solution for you.

1) remove the cd player from the car
2) get a screwdriver or a crowbar and break the front plate off
3) do whatever necessary to expose your cd's and pull them out
4) beat the radio with a hammer
5) buy a real deck

problem solved

or if you dont wanna ruin it then just keep pushing buttons...tap on the front a little (maybe it will move a cd enuff to unjam it), etc
