Take it from someone who works at a huge electronics store that sells radar detectors. Check out http://bestbuy.com/ for them, hehe. Go with the Escort, in my opinion you get what you pay for so go with the best. They DO NOT work good again laser guns because you basically won't know until you're finally shot and by the time it goes off they will always know how fast you were going. No Cobra in my opinion, go with Escort. TRUST ME. Go to your local Best Buy store and check them out. I'm going with Escort for my cars, I have two Mustangs.
