mine are usually down too... but... if they are up when parked over nights and ****.. will this hurt me? i can porbably make it air tight and vent it.. but i dont want to do the work if this wont bother me
when batteries are charging/discharging they release hydrogen gas which is very explosive so that's why the NHRA requires that the battery be in a sealed box vented to the outside of the car so that the hydrogen gas cannot build up to an explosive level in the interior of the car.
plus if you do move the battery to the back and go to a dragstrip, they will require you to have a rear mounted battery shutoff switch also or you won't be allowed to run the car.
