Default flowmaster

I am just now trying to soup up and make some mods to my 96 mustang....what are the different types of exhaut systems out there? I have a v-6....My brother has the dual tailpipes and the Flowmaster, dont know which particular style..for his Camaro, it sounds nice, and looks clean

There are quite a few different setup out there for the V-6 Mustang. I mean it all just depends on what you want. You can just change you one muffler and notice a little change, you can go with a dual exhaust kit and have two pipes like your brother or you can even go wtih a side exhaust kit. Now, of course your car will never sound like your brothers, but it you do some major exhaust work changing header and everything I think you can get a nice tone out of your car. Just do a search online and you should be able to find all kinds of setups you can go with. This is just my little opinion. </P>

I concur, it would def sound like a V8 at idle, now when you open it up though, they usually sound empty

flowmasters on V6 mustangs sound awful...my friend has em on his 2002 stang v6 and it makes his car sound like a ricer...but i must say this is at idle mainly...it doesnt sound that bad while the car is in motion..but borla catback exhausts sound rather pleasant on the v6 stang...hope that helps...
