so i got mad last night and punched the steering wheel in my 86 4cyl ranger and it bogged down and cut off (lol). now it will turn over but it wont stay running. i crossed thestarter silinoidwith a knife to see if i could get it to stay running that way but all it will do is keep turning over but wont fire up. when i use the key it will fire up but only for a sec. and then shut off. any ideas.

Look under the dash to see if any connectors to the ignition switch got loose.

Start off by gettin a one of those anger sandbag things that you sqeeze that might help.. .now you are gonna have to pay HA! $$$$
