Hi, Before my '05, I owned a '99 GT Vert, similar to your style. No leaks in either car.

Seeing that you are in Canada, I'd be concerned about leaving the weight of snow for too long on the convertible top.
Invest in a snow brush with long handle, so that you don't damage the top clearing if off.

 

^I owned an 01 vert and now have an 06. Laser red, I loved that color.

 

Any worries you have about it will be erased whenever you have the top down and everyone is staring at your sweet ride.
