So I am rebuilding a motor for a project that I have, the motor came from a 1984 Mercury Grand Marquis. 302L TB fuel injection.

anyway so my question is, that when I got the motor there were no belts or accessories on it. so I am unclear if its a reverse rotation pump.

the inlet is on drivers side and pump is aluminum.

is there a positive way to identify which way the pump should spin by looking under the plate behide the pump.
