Default RE: strut tower brace question.

Just a lil food for thought, this is off the Kenne Bell website:

Q: Must I remove the Cobra 4.6 strut brace from my Mustang?

A: Yes. And good riddance. It did nothing to strengthen the chassis. Ford engineers will verify this. It was included only for looks! On the '96-'98 cars the "bump" in the inlet tube that was necessary to accommodate the brace resulted in an 8HP loss. Need proof? It was eliminated on all of the '99 up Cobra's - and anyone knowledgeable in chassis design will tell you that the strut brace was also worthless on all the '86-'93 cars. Just another product that sounds good in theory but does nothing.

WOW! It's wierd that all of the performence versions of the mustang have a strut brace. The Shelby GT's, GT500's, Roush, and even the Bullitts that I have seen have had one installed.
