That really doesnt make sence, the only two plugs that are on the T-5 are the fill plug and drain plug, both facing the passenger side. The fill plug is on top and the drain on the bottem....

Well it is not really a plug it is a bolt on the passenger side of the tranny. I have been told by a few people that it is a common mistake when and lube to the t5. like most peopl i pulled it out thinking it was the fill plug but instead it holds part of the linkage for reverse in place.now to fix said problem you have remove the top cover from the tranny and replace the link and reinstall the bolt. This is where I get stuck I have the tranny out of the car, and the bolts removed from the cover, but theLinkage from the shifterruns along the top of the tranny though the cover. the only fastener i can see hold the shift link is a roll pin in under the shifter cover it. Is there a way to remove the top of the tranny with out pulling all of the shift linkage out?
